Yes, summer may seem a while away, but time quickly flies and registration has now opened for the Contest Cup 2016 in Medemblik, Holland. Running this year from 3-5 June in waters local to the yard, our northern regatta regularly draws an eager crowd keen to enjoy the healthy mix of fleet racing, family cruising and shore-side feasts and festivities.
An event designed for novice sailors just as much as seasoned hands, there’s something for everyone from keen competition to laid back entertainment. Last year again we saw beginners helped into the friendly racing, extending experience and learning just how easy it can be to gain an extra knot or two… helpful when it comes to cruising, too! The fleet also makes for a wonderful display of all ages; that’s boats as well as sailors!
